Ours is a DOCG Chianti, which means that the grapes must be grown in accordance with a strict certification procedure in a specific region of Tuscany in order to earn the name. The harvest happens in the late September, after which the grapes are naturally fermented in their skins in stainless steel tank. The wine is then aged for 6 months in French tonneaux size barrel. We then bottle the wine and leave it to age yet another six months in the bottle. Our wine will remain of the highest quality for 7 years. Madonnabella has a clear, very intense ruby red color, with hints and nuances of garnet. On the nose it has a delicate, “vinous” scent, with hints of red fruit and light floreality. it is dry in the mouth, medium-bodied, fresh (good acidity), smooth tannin, quite soft, quite persistent, with light spicy notes. We named this wine in honor of our land.We recommend it be served between 16-18° C. It is excellent paired with pasta, wild boar and fresh pecorino cheese.
it’s an everyday wine that pairs perfectly with Mediterranean cuisine like Italian appetizers, pasta dishes and meats, but it is also perfect to sip on while you are preparing dinner or chatting with friends.
